Teacher of the Week 2-24-17

Jackie Johns, fourth grade teacher at Osage Beach Elementary, has been named Camdenton School District Teacher of the Week.  Mrs. Johns spends endless hours working with students to help them become better leaders throughout the school.  Her collaborative efforts have helped several students become successful in special classes despite their initial negative attitude toward the content.  Mrs. Johns has utilized Class Dojo to communicate with parents and mentored many of our staff in the use of the app to help understand how a student is doing each portion of their day.  Because of Jackie, teachers can head issues off before they become a problem with a student.  Mrs. Johns makes learning fun and interesting even when the content is somewhat dry and unimpressive.  Her laughter with the students helps them understand that school is fun.  She makes Osage Beach Elementary a great place to work and learn.  Teacher of the Week is sponsored by Smith Law Firm and recognizes teachers for positive contributions made to the Camdenton students and District.
