    CLASSIFIED EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH

    Deb Allen, President of the Classified Employee Association, was present to recognize Cindy Waters, Secretary at LCTC, as the December “Classified Employee of the Month.” 

     

    NEW BUSINESS

    2010-2011 District Audit Report

    Mr. Lynn Graves, CPA and owner of Graves and Associates, was present to review the 2010-2011 Audit Report.  The Board approved the audit as presented.

     

    UNFINISHED BUSINESS

    District Financing Options

    Dick Bartow was in-District to discuss possible refinancing options.  The Board authorized George K. Baum and Company along with Gilmore and Bell (bond counsel) to proceed with refinancing of the Series 2005 lease purchase and continue monitoring the Series 2005 general obligation bonds for refunding.

    F.     Approve Resolution Authorizing Adoption of 457(b) Plan Restatement

    Whereas Camdenton R-III Schools (hereinafter, the Employer) established the 457(b) Deferred Compensation Plan (hereinafter, the Plan) effective December 31, 2011, for the exclusive benefit of its employees and their beneficiaries; Now, therefore be it resolved that the employer hereby amends and restates the Plan in the form of the Plan attached hereto; and, resolved, further that the appropriate officers of the Employer, or their delegates, are hereby authorized to execute the amendment and restatement of the Plan effective December 31, 2011.

     

    The Board approved the above consent items, removing item E., the Food Services Department Handbook.

     

    NEW BUSINESS  (Continued)

    Interventions Report

    Dr. Kristy Kindwall presented information related to the Camdenton R-III Interventions Department reviewing goals, strengths, and concerns of various programs including Pre-School, English Language Learners, Section 504, Special Education, etc.

     

    Gifted Report

    Mrs. Stacey Goodwin presented the annual report on Gifted Education including goals and strategies to meet these goals.

     

    Accept Camera Bids for LCTC

    Dr. Rich recommended purchasing security cameras for LCTC from Netwatch for $20,501.35.  These cameras are 50% funded through the original Secure our Schools grant and 50% funded through local funds.  The new Secure our Schools grant will be utilized to provide security cameras for the remaining buildings.

     

    Board Patron Panel Survey Results

    The Board reviewed results from the latest Patron Panel survey with Board responses included. 

     

    BOARD PRESIDENT’S WRAP-UP

    This is an opportunity for the Board to report on upcoming meetings, meetings attended, registrations, and deadlines.  Nancy informed the Board that running lists of Excellence in Education recipients and Classified Employee of the Month recipients are now posted on the Board of Education webpage.  The Education Foundation will be meeting tomorrow, December 13, 2011.
