Missouri A+ Scholarship Program

  •  Service Opportunities

The Missouri A+ Scholarship Program was created as a part of the Outstanding Schools Act of 1993 as an incentive for improving Missouri's high schools. In an effort to improve Camdenton High School, all A+ service opportunities are currently supervised by the Camdenton RIII School District. Students should contact the A+ Coordinator if they would like to pursue A+ endorsed opportunities outside the school district. Students may also do the following: read, study, work on a device, make up assignments after an absence from school, make up quizzes or tests, work on missing assignments that were not completed in class or just haven’t been finished and turned in. At least one teacher will be available for help when needed. The program is located in the high school library, Monday through Thursday, from 3:15-4:15 p.m.

    Project PASS

Project PASS is an after school program that primarily serves students who need extra academic support. However, Open Library, enrichment activities and Fantastic Fridays are available to all students. On the main Camdenton RIII District campus, 6 school buildings participate in Project PASS; Dogwood, Hawthorn, Oak Ridge, Camdenton Middle, Camdenton High and the Lake Career and Technical School (LCTC). At LCTC, English Language Learner classes take place daily for students and adults. In separate locations, Osage Beach and Hurricane Deck Elementary Schools each offer the Project PASS programs. Project PASS begins at dismissal time, Monday-Thursday with a snack or dinner being served. All A+ Program Tutors may not eat meals provided by Project PASS. Tutors are asked not to bring any food or drink while serving Project PASS. Project PASS starts around October 1 and tutoring starts approximately 2 weeks after it starts.
