    School and Community
     
    Students are encouraged to participate in school and community service projects. College admissions offices and scholarship committees are looking for students who have good grades, high test scores, involvement in extra-curricular activities, and have given time to school and community service projects. 
     
    School and community service opportunities include, but are not limited to the following: 
    • Adopt-A-Highway
    • Cleanup Project 
    • Cancer Drive 
    • Heart Fund Drive
    • Hospital Volunteer
    • Lake Cleanup Project
    • Lamb House
    • Meals on Wheels
    • Muscular Dystrophy Drive
    • Nursing Home 
    • Peer Tutor
    • Red Cross Blood Drive
    • Working in Local Church
    The following organizations are currently looking for student volunteers. 
    Students are encouraged to turn in their community service hours to the Guidance Office. Awards will be given for completion of service hours as follows: 10 - 40 hours certificate, 41 - 99 hours medal, 100 hours or more plaque.
