Inclement Weather - School Closings
Inclement weather may result in closing or early dismissal of school. If the weather is threatening and there is a possibility of school closings, please tune into any of the stations under the station list on the left.
Notification is generally given prior to 6 a.m. or as soon as the decision is made to close during the day.
In addition to the notice through the media, the Camdenton R-III School District sends a recorded phone call to all students' families and all employees. Known as School Reach, the service has the capability to send a recorded telephone message to all families within minutes. This service is used for school closings, as well as communication. If severe weather necessitates that students be sent home early during the school day, these emergency calls will go to the number which has been designated by parents.
Information for school closings will be posted to the district website as soon as this information is made available.
Bulletin Board Phone Number
Information for school closings may also be obtained through the Camdenton R-III School Closing Bulletin Board phone number (573)317-3400.
There may be times when it is necessary to run snow or emergency routes only. Dr. Tim Hadfield can be reached at (573)346-9213 and will be happy to answer your questions about how snow routes differ from the regular routes.
School Make-Up Days
All days lost due to inclement weather will be made up as determined in the district calendar. Make-up days for the 2014-2015 school year are as follows:
Day 1 - May 21, 2015
Day 2 - May 22, 2015
