    Dear Parent or Guardian,

The Camdenton R-III School’s charge policy for school lunches is designed to allow our students to eat a nutritious lunch while providing an efficient Food Service Program.  We know it is a reality that lunch money might be forgotten from time to time.  As a result, the District does allow charges (for school meals only) up to $10.00 for elementary students, $5.00 for middle school students, and high school students can charge up to one lunch.  A la carte selections are not allowed to be charged.

After the charge limit is reached, students will receive an alternative meal such as a sandwich and milk until charges are paid.  Deposit requests are generally sent home with students twice a week.  Payments should be sent to school in the envelopes provided with the student name written on the outside.

In the middle of May the District cuts off all charging and requests parents pay off all debt owed.  All charges not paid before the end of the school year will be carried forward into the next school year, even if your child(ren) switch buildings.

Free and reduced priced meals are available for students from families whose income falls within the guidelines established annually by the United States Department of Agriculture.  If you feel you qualify for these meals, please pick up an application at your child’s school office any time during the school year.

    Thank you for your help.

    Your Partner in Education,

    Tim
